CRA Board of Directors Meeting
At the convention, the CRA Board of Directors will hold a meeting on Saturday, September 30 at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel. The meeting is scheduled for 10:15 am to 11:15 am in the La Jolla/Los Angeles room. Our featured speakers will be Brian Johnston, Western Director of the National Right to Life Committee and Chairman of the California ProLife Council, and Susan Shelley, Vice President of Communications for the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and opinion columnist and editorial writer for the Southern California News Group.
CRA Exhibitor Booth
From 10:00 am on Friday, September 29 to noon on Sunday, October 1, CRA will have a booth in the exhibit hall. Drop by the booth to pick up CRA buttons, palm cards, and flyers. New members will be able to sign up and existing members will be able to renew their membership.
We are pleased to announce that the California ProLife Council will be joining us at the CRA booth.
CRA Board of Directors Urges CRP Delegates to Readopt the 2019 CRP Platform
The CRA Board of Directors has overwhelmingly adopted the following resolution:
Resolved, the CRA Board of Directors calls on the delegates of the California Republican Party to maintain fidelity to conservative principles and traditional values and readopt the current party platform.
Every four years, in the year before a presidential election, the California Republican Party (CRP) adopts a platform. Unfortunately, the draft platform written in July abandons many conservative principles (ex., the right to life and marriage as the union of one man and one woman), ignores major issues (ex., election integrity and the fentanyl crisis), and waters down our positions on other issues (ex., illegal immigration, public safety, and support for Proposition 13).

The CRA Board is joining with Republican leaders led by Board of Equalization Member Ted Gaines, California RNC National Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon, and several current and past county party chairs calling on CRP delegates to readopt the current party platform for the next four years. Three members of Congress and several state legislators have recently joined the movement.

Both the Los Angeles Regional Caucus Meeting & Election and the South Regional Caucus Meeting & Election will be held on Saturday, September 30 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. The rooms have not been posted, so check the schedule in the convention registration packet.
CRA Endorsed Bylaw Amendments
CRA Past President Tom Hudson has resubmitted two proposed bylaw amendments to the California Republican Party Bylaws: the “One Person, One Vote” Amendment and the “Proxy Votes are Not for Sale” Amendment.
