California Republican Assembly
Since 1934, the California Republican Assembly (CRA) has been working to elect Republican candidates for local, state, and federal office who stand resolutely on conservative principles: individual liberty, personal responsibility, limited government, rule of law, traditional values, free markets, and a strong national defense. Because of our commitment to these principles, President Ronald Reagan called CRA, “the conscience of the Republican Party.”
As California’s oldest and most influential Republican volunteer organization, CRA’s endorsement is a sought-after privilege for those candidates who meet our high standards — conservative, principled, electable, and the overwhelming choice of our membership. When CRA endorses a candidate, we are committing volunteers, resources, and our reputation.
CRA’s membership comprises grassroots activists, business owners, and community leaders who are active in local chapters throughout California. Our local chapters are central to CRA’s mission and are the main drivers of our principles, priorities, and programs.
