The California Republican Party (CAGOP) organizing convention is coming up March 10-12, 2023 in Sacramento, California.

The CAGOP meets three times in a two-year period (Once in even numbered years and twice in odd numbered years) to conduct business relative to the governance of the organization. Guests include members and delegates of the statewide political party, elected officials at the state and national level, volunteers, credentialed press/media, vendors and campaign staff. Attendance ranges from 1,000 – 1,500 attendees.

At the upcoming organizational convention, delegates will be voting on a number of key items, including a number of statewide and regional party offices. The delegates for this convention will be appointed by Republican nominees for partisan state and federal offices. The number of delegates each nominee will be allotted is dependent on how successful they were at reaching or exceeding republican registration in their respective election.

We need solid conservatives to serve at delegates to the CAGOP.

In order to be a delegate, one must either be one of these nominees (regular member) or appointed by a regular member or county party (appointed delegate). If you wish to serve as a delegate, contact your local GOP nominees/electeds or county republican party and request to be appointed. Time is of the essence. So, contact them ASAP.

Also, each regular and appointive delegate of the California Republican Party is entitled to appoint an unlimited number of Republicans as associate delegates. Associate delegates enjoy all the rights and duties of delegates, except that they vote only when acting as a proxy for a regular or appointive delegate at a State Central Committee meeting. Once appointed, associate delegates continue to serve as associate delegates during successive terms of the State Central Committee, provided dues are paid on a current basis.

If you would like to become a CAGOP Associate Delegate, and there are no CAGOP Delegates in your locally chartered Republican Assembly to make such appointments, you may use ANY of the CAGOP Delegates listed below as your appointer.
