On Wednesday, October 12, Republican gubernatorial nominee Brian Dahle made a campaign stop in Taft.

The Taft Republican Assembly (TRA) hosted the event that was held at the Westside Recreation Community Center. State Senator Dahle spoke about California’s need to greatly increase the production of oil and gas.

For over 100 years, Taft has been one of the state’s largest producers of oil. The decreased oil and petroleum production has had a negative financial impact upon the community of Taft.

If elected, Senator Dahle pledged he would make every effort to increase oil production in Taft and all of California.
