The Glendale Burbank/Crescenta Valley Republican Assembly
is co-sponsoring a NON-PARTISAN Pearl Harbor Day Anniversary Event. You are respectfully invited to reserve a spot for your WWII Veteran acquaintance, friend or relative.

Soon it will be eighty years since December 7th, 1941, the date that President Roosevelt said would live in Infamy, The bombing of Pearl Harbor opened up the Pacific front, and our country rose to the occasion to defend this country from Imperialism. Two days later, American Troops became fully engaged to save the European front from Fascism and Communism.

(Little did President Roosevelt know this formidable enemy would one day be our formidable ally. Such is the magnanimity of the American People

Today, we are so blessed to still have with us a rapidly diminishing number of those brave young men, WWII survivors, who are now our parents, grandparents, great and great-great grandparents. Sadly, one day they will all be gone and we will never again have an opportunity to hear their stories in their own voices.

With that in mind, on December 7th, Glendale Burbank Republican Assembly, will be collaborating with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6114, and American Legion Post 288, to present a NON-PARTISAN Pearl Harbor Anniversary event to honor as many of our precious WWII Veterans as we can possibly find.

We will SAFELY gather them together at the American Legion Hall where they can “shoot the breeze” while we silently, respectfully, listen to their voices recalling and sharing with one another, the historic moments and memories of their action.

We ask that you kindly reach out, call, email to your circle and ask if anyone has a WW II friend or relative who would relish this opportunity to unite with fellow servicemen of WWII.

We are asking this of you in honor of their roles defending the west against an Imperial invasion, and saving liberating Europe from Fascism and Communism.

Please help us bring joy into the lives of our precious WW II Veterans with this December 7th anniversary event. You may be surprised to know how many Veterans sadly sit in isolation at home or in facilities away from any peer with whom they can share reminiscences.

This common interest fellowship is not only important for their own mental health, but for the enlightenment of ourselves and our posterity.

Please feel free to share our contact information and to call for all the details. This is important and we have precious little time left. We need your help ASAP.

(Note: Many Veterans do not have access to email).
