I pray this message finds you and your families safe and sound as you try (like the rest of us) to navigate the unsure waters of the current crisis.

Our world seems to have come to a grinding halt. That is with the exception of the never ending crusade by Democrats and the mainstream media to attack President Donald Trump at every turn.

Most recently, that assault has taken the form of blaming the President for COVID-19 and the ensuing health crisis it has created. They have twisted his words and outright lied about him. They have ignored, and at times even sided with those who are largely responsible for our current predicament.

But thankfully, there are those who recognize the gravity of the situation, and rather than play the blame game, have opted to work together in a bipartisan fashion to meet this challenge head on. Folks like Gov. Gavin Newsom, Rep. llhan Omar and others have noted that now is not the time for partisan attacks. And I for one agree.

Lord knows that we do not agree with a number of policies supported by Gov. Gavin Newsom. But rather than focus on who is to blame, we should be praying for him and the rest of our leaders, asking God to guide them in their decision making during this time. That is not to say that we should not voice our issues and concerns when we disagree. But as we do so, we should speak not as political rivals. Rather it should be as the loyal opposition.

Once we are past this crisis, there will be plenty of time for Monday morning quarterbacking. There will be investigations and reports galore. We will have plenty of opportunities to share about what went right and what went wrong. There will be a time of accountability.

But for now, let us focus on being one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all.
